On 11 July 1921 a truce was called in Ireland. Suddenly, the fighting stopped and the guns fell silent.
But there would be a price to pay for winning a war of independence. Britain would leave on certain conditions, conditions that would divide Ireland. This is the dramatic story of the three December days that ended the treaty negotiations.
In just 70 hours a sequence of events would take place that changed Ireland forever.
Arthur Griffith, Michael Collins, Robert Barton, George Gavan Duffy and Eamonn Duggan were sent to make a deal with the British and were confronted with a stark ultimatum. The choices they made on a cold, foggy day in London decided whether it was war or peace, who lived, and who died. The dramatic story of the Anglo-Irish Treaty and the five men with a stark ultimatum on DVD.
